Aphex Twin – Xtal

What a highly underrated ambient producer and musician. This song reminds me of walking through the city on an empty, cold, winter, morning.

FKA Twigs – In Time

FKA is an amazing artist and creative. She is inspiring me a lot at the moment, and I find her collaborations with another one of my favourite producers, Arca, on her albums to create the perfect feminine balance with heartbreak and future sounds. As a dancer, I love her use of rhythms in her songs too. Is close to connect with me feeling emotional and feminine yet having a dark, edgy turmoil of dealing with things.

Ngaiire – I Can’t Hear God Anymore

Ngaiire inspires me a lot through her soulful vulnerabilities as a songwriter/poet.

The lyricism of this song is unbelievable. The minimalism of this song catches my heart and resonates with a lot of feelings I wish to translate. And plus, she’s a sassy Queen.

Jon Hopkins – Open Eyed Signal

Imagine a classically trained pianist that has worked with Brian Eno and has created a techno track. This is Hopkins. I am so inspired by his success in mixing ambient textures and sounds with techno house sounds.

Solange – Don’t Wish Me Well

Solange, Sampha, and Dev Hynes are inspiring me so much at the moment. The ultimate dream team of creators and producers. This is a really sweet song that reminds me, somewhat vocally, of an old Diana Ross song.

Kraftwerk – The Man Machine

The techno Godfather’s.

The Isley Brothers – This Old Heart of Mine

I am a sucker for those old fashioned love songs. Especially when they are sung with such expression like this one, and being a track you enjoy with your love, too.
